Name: NAKANG Lillian Sebit

Occupation:an activist and founder of caring hearts initiative

Initiative: caring hearts initiative

Current project: mentraul hygiene and reproductive health awareness

In my growing cycle, most of the you g school going girls became moyhets. As I gave time to have a little discussion about it, I found that they were actually harassed and forced to become mothers and wives at that tender age.

To a reality they hide home actually a week without going to school as everyone else's was going to school both boys and girls from the rich and this happens almost every monyh. Reason being menstruation periods and lack of of sanitary material as well. Their stay at home is actually a reminder to their guidance and close friends and teachers and other community elders that they are becoming wives taking into concern the African culture perspective. Without a huger reason but because of lack of sex education.

Having looked at such incidents, I couldn't let this happen to to my going children friends and see them continuously mess up with their beautiful future unpredictably. I strongly believe that I am being put in the direction of advocating against child rights and well_being. Though rains fall and more disasters continuously, I took it as an initiative and a task to help such young girls to attain their freedoms as children to be in school among others .usually most parents especially those at the refugee camps aren't giving the necessary guidance concerning mentraul hygiene to their children including those schools they try to attain education from. Through these these we are able to tech them skills of making long lasting pads, provide them with some mentraul equipment , Cary out awareness program in relation to sex education and menstrual hygiene to mention but a few.

Despite moving towards our goal, we face challenges such as resources and finance and therefore I believe joining with this newsletter, I will be in position to meet with many people, well wishers through out the world. And this will help me raise more fundings to implement the current project of menstrual hygiene and health awareness among the young refugees in Bidibidi refugee settlement in Uganda.

Thanks for reading about me and my current concern about the young girls and women and school going children from the age of 9-24.

May God bless you and the human and person in you.
