Who We Are
Home for Homeless Uganda was formed in May 2018 by Kiyuba Zafarani, following the backdrop of development opportunities for rural development in Uganda, majority of the rural communities lack development due to their inability to utilize the available resources. With over a year of service, the organization has since then developed from charity based community organisation to a non-profit NGO, operating in the thematic areas of child education, health and sanitation, child evangelism and hunger minimization. It seeks to create a future of hope for under-served children, youth, women and other vulnerable people by helping them using the available resources to sustain their vulnerabilities. Home for Homeless Uganda has a six-member Board of Directors that accesses the progress of the organization, make strategic decisions and look at program and administrative issues. The organization operates with twentieth staff, comprising of six full-time, four part-time workers and 10 volunteers. It also provides opportunity for community volunteers and learners to access activities.
OBJECTIVES
- To foster unity and co-operation amongst Youth in the community
- To empower the children, Youth and community for spiritual, social, physical, economic and education development
- To educate and teach the word of God among the Children and youth for moral and God fearing.
- To advocate, Support the orphaned, Vulnerable and needy Children, widowed and the elderly, the marginalized, the girl child and people with disabilities
- To supplement Government effort in the alleviation of poverty, ignorance and diseases like HIV/AIDS, Malaria and several others in the community.

Eastern Uganda is one of the major affected regions where people spend over days with no food. Home for Homeless Uganda provided few areas with food and opened up agriculture schemes for food growing.

Home for hommeless Uganda approached some of the remote in areas in Eastern Uganda and observed the the poor standard of living.
